I am a qualified professional engineer (BEng), having studied the specialised degree in Automotive Engineering at Loughborough University. Outside of motor racing I have worked for a large automotive engineering consultancy, gaining experience in engine development for production cars including one global engine, forecast to be very significantly represented in terms of number of road cars worldwide by 2010. I have also worked as a lecturer in Norwich city college England, teaching the vehicle engineering HNC course and advanced vehicles engineering HNC for 2 years. My students all enjoyed great success on the course and many have gone onto to become professional engineers.
